Hello friends and welcome! My name is Kimberly and I am the sole creatrix of Lilly’s Luxuries 29, based in Columbus, Ohio, USA. My hope is to bring joy, health and happiness to the greater world through my responsibly sourced products. Each item is made by hand with care, intention and sustainability within the warmth of my own home and hearth. I offer these products to you in hopes that you too will find joy and value in each.

My story…?

Well, I don’t recall a time in my life where I haven’t been creating, or at least pregnant with a slew of ideas! From the time I could hold a crayon in my tiny toddler hand I have been giving birth to image after image of whatever I could consume with my young eyes! I took all the art classes I could while I was in school and even dropped a chemistry class to add another art course onto my roster! I had intended to make art my life’s work and path. But as they say, “Man plans while the Godds laugh.” – And boy did they ever experience riotous laughter with me! I have faced many distractions in this life which took precedence over my Wild Woman nature to create; kids, marriage, career (not in the arts-boo!!), physical and mental health challenges, trauma… you know, the run of the mill stuff we all deal with! However, I have been able to dabble in the arts over the years; having a freelance photography business, even displaying my works in a fine dining restaurant. Being a board member of the local art community as the event coordinator. I was even able to illustrate a children’s book. I was blessed to experience each in its own turn. But then there was another twist, and I was no longer able to create. The shadow side of Life had won! Or so it seemed.

In 2019 I had a severe break in my mental and physical health. I was hospitalised and my outlook was grim at best. I was uncertain if I would survive this life and all the challenges that would continue to come from its natural state. After many weeks, and years of arduous work on my inner state of being and my outer world I was finally able to come back to the land of the living and revitalise my desire to be a creatrix once more, to let the Wild Woman nature flow freely through my hands and my being. And so here we are, together, creating a beautiful exchange of energy and products that are both made from the heart and by my own humble hands.

I come from a long line of creative women, one of which I named this shop after; my grandmother, Gladys Lillian. She was born in 1929, and as I write this short biography to bring life into my artistic world, she is taking her final bow and exiting gracefully into the great Unknown. It is my way of honouring her legacy and the teachings she has bestowed upon me. I also honour my lineage from my paternal side, as my last name translates to “Lily of the Valley” in Czechoslovakian. (This is the flower you see on my product labels.)

All of the items I present to you here are made in the Zen-like comfort of my own home. I do my best to source the ingredients and supplies responsibly and to make sure those individuals I do need to purchase items from are also aligned with such values. Before I begin I centre my energy, devoting myself to the sole purpose of creating, working with attention as well as intention. As such, I do truly value your opinions and feedback.
