WE CONNECT PEOPLE WITH LOCAL FOOD, ARTISAN GOODS AND AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCES THROUGH OUR COMMUNITY MARKETS IN DOWNTOWN LANCASTER, OHIO.
Through the Keller Market House and the Lancaster Farmers Market, we connect our community with farmers, food producers and artisans from Fairfield County and throughout the state of Ohio.
Our non profit organization – Lancaster Fresh Market, Inc. – was founded in 2015 to create a food hub in downtown Lancaster. Our mission is to champion the production and accessibility of local foods and products for the enrichment of our community.
The Keller Market House opened its doors in May of 2016 in a historical building that originally housed the Keller Grocery from 1867 to 1914. The Market House now provides a year-round, indoor marketplace that highlights locally grown and seasonal produce alongside other local foods and handmade artisan goods. You’ll find a wide range of fruits and vegetables, meats and poultry, dairy products, dry goods, fresh flowers, and more. We even have a great selection of locally roasted coffees and sustainably produced wines!
In 2018 we also undertook management the Lancaster Farmers Market, our city’s longtime traditional outdoor farmers market. The Lancaster Farmers Market is now held right around the corner from the Market House every Saturday morning from the first Saturday in May through the first Saturday in October. Rain or shine, you’ll find a wide range of vendors, plus fun community and family events and food trucks serving up brunch!
Whether inside the Keller Market House or outside during Lancaster Farmers Market season, our vendor partners bring premium quality, locally-produced goods to one central location, making it convenient and easy for the community to support local growers and makers.
The Keller Market House also houses a Community Room and the Keller Community Kitchen. The Community Room accommodates up to 50 guests and features a small stage. Stay tuned for the return of public and private events as well as classes and demonstrations. If you’d like to teach a class or skill, contact us to share your idea! The Kitchen is a small-scale commercial kitchen used to support special events and to diversify our product offerings.
Our organization is sustained by the financial and volunteer support of our community members. We welcome your support at any level. Learn more about membership, sponsorship and volunteer opportunities in our Get Involved section.
And, don’t forget to subscribe to our email newsletter. We share upcoming events and new products once a week, and occasional, special announcements when something out of the ordinary is happening.
