Earth Day

April 22, 2023 @ 10:30 am - 1:00 pm

Join us at the Keller Market House on Earth Day for two free back-to-back events!

10:30 am – 11:00 am

Join Mark & Teresa Scarpitti of Grandma’s Got Worms to learn how to improve the health of your soil. You’ll learn about vermicomposting (composting with worms!), how to prepare your soil for planting and how to successfully transplant your seedlings.

This is a free informational event. Worm castings, Worm Nursery/Compost Starter Kits and Kids’ Sow and Grow Kits will be available for sale.

Grandma’s Got Worms is a new business started by Teresa Scarpitti which provides worm castings, a 100% all natural fertilizer that is safe to use with organic systems. Teresa and her husband Mark have a small farm outside of Pleasantville.

11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Keller Market House is partnering up with the Fathom Arts Consortium to host a community Spring Plant + Seed Swap!

Gardeners, bring your seeds and plants to share and go home with a new discovery! Seeds and plants free to those participating. Please make sure to label your offerings.

Fathom Arts Consortium is a local non profit whose mission is to nourish a rich and diverse artistic community in Lancaster.
