Margot Barnes | Still Hollow Arts
Margot Barnes, a native of Yorkshire, England, has lived in Ohio for over 50 years. She is fascinated by nature, the shapes, colors and the effects of light. In her paintings, she hopes to capture some of its beauty to share with others. She is constantly challenged and excited by her work, especially when using watercolor. She derives much pleasure from her paintings and hopes they give as much pleasure to her audience.
Margot is a founding member of The Monarch Gallery in Lancaster, Ohio and past board member there. She is also a past officer and an active member of the Lancaster Art Guild and regularly shows work in the Art Guild shows. She has had numerous local shows at The Community Bank, Fairfield Federal Savings and Loan Association, office of The Lancaster-Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce, the Wells Fargo and Advest offices, Nu U Salon and First Methodist Church.
Outside of Lancaster, her work has been on display at The Bowen House in Logan, Ohio, the High Road Gallery in Worthington, Ohio and Lanning Gallery at Lemongrass, in Columbus, Ohio. Margot has studied under Frank Webb (ASW), Linda Moyer (ASW), Fred Graf (ASW, NSW), Joseph Fittingis (NWS), and Donna Carlisle Noice (OWS, NWS).
