SUMMARY:Kids' Day at the Lancaster Farmers Market
DESCRIPTION:Come visit the Lancaster Farmers Market for our first Kids’ Day of the season! This will be a special day for families to enjoy the downtown farmers market. \nWe will also introduce a special new program for kids ages 5 to 12 to shop at the market. \nThanks to a Fairfield County Foundation Youth Advisory Grant\, our ‘Seed Money’ youth program will provide kids with $10 in free “seed money” vouchers that they can spend like cash with our farmer market vendors. Families\, check in at the Market Tent to claim your “seed money.” \nFamilies can then explore the market together\, as kids choose how to spend their seed money with our local vendors. Get your kids involved and invested in their local food system while they learn how to budget and participate in face-to-face transactions. Seed Money vouchers will be available while supplies last. \nSpecial guests with free kids’ activities will include: \n• AHA! Children’s Museum (9am – 12pm) – kids’ craft and learning about the development of chickens in the egg\n• Storytime with the Fairfield County District Library  at 9:30am\n• OSU Extension\, Fairfield County – learning about healthy summer snacking with free samples\, and their smoothie bike (bike weather permitting)\n• Squirrel Scout Outdoor School – make your own nature crown and art activity \nArt & Clay on Main will also be joining us so you can create clay impressions of handprints\, footprints or pawprints! \nSaint Mary School is our market sponsor for the day and will join us at the Market Tent. Make sure to visit them to pick up a free Wikki Stick craft kit! \nAnd Taco Mania food truck will be there serving up authentic homemade Mexican food! \nThe Lancaster Farmers Market is celebrating our 40th season in downtown Lancaster. Find our great group of local vendors on Chestnut Street between Broad and Columbus (right around the corner from the Keller Market House). \nMarket is rain or shine every Saturday from the first week in May through the first week in October. Sales are from 8:30am until noon. \nWe’ll see you there!

SUMMARY:Farm + Kitchen 2023
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce our signature fundraiser for 2023! Join us in homes and on farms to celebrate local foods and support our community markets – the Keller Market House and the Lancaster Farmers Market. \nOur Farm + Kitchen series will allow you to choose from a variety of settings and themes – such as dinner\, brunch or happy hour – and spans two weekends – June 10th & 11th and September 9th & 10th. Your donation gets you a reservation at one of these intimate gatherings and includes food & drinks\, which will vary based on the setting. \nYou might remember our Kitchens Dinners from past years\, held in private homes around town. We’re building on this experience to create something even more in line with our mission.
