DESCRIPTION:Come visit the Lancaster Farmers Market for our first Kids’ Day of the season! This will be a special day for families to enjoy the downtown farmers market. \nWe will also introduce a special new program for kids ages 5 to 12 to shop at the market. \nThanks to a Fairfield County Foundation Youth Advisory Grant\, our ‘Seed Money’ youth program will provide kids with $10 in free “seed money” vouchers that they can spend like cash with our farmer market vendors. Families\, check in at the Market Tent to claim your “seed money.” \nFamilies can then explore the market together\, as kids choose how to spend their seed money with our local vendors. Get your kids involved and invested in their local food system while they learn how to budget and participate in face-to-face transactions. Seed Money vouchers will be available while supplies last. \nSpecial guests with free kids’ activities will include: \n• AHA! Children’s Museum (9am – 12pm) – kids’ craft and learning about the development of chickens in the egg\n• Storytime with the Fairfield County District Library  at 9:30am\n• OSU Extension\, Fairfield County – learning about healthy summer snacking with free samples\, and their smoothie bike (bike weather permitting)\n• Squirrel Scout Outdoor School – make your own nature crown and art activity \nArt & Clay on Main will also be joining us so you can create clay impressions of handprints\, footprints or pawprints! \nSaint Mary School is our market sponsor for the day and will join us at the Market Tent. This is the Saturday before Thanksgiving – the perfect time to stock up on local foods and get a start on your holiday shopping. \nLook for lots of fun extras – inside and out! Our market vendors will gather outside in the usual farmers market location in the big parking lot on Chestnut Street. \nBut make sure you make it up to the corner to the Keller Market House as well! Inside\, there’s lots more local shopping\, as well as a pop up coffee shop with Curly Dog Coffee and live music with Shadow in the Moon. Stay tuned for details! \nYou’ll also find two food trucks in front of the market house on Columbus Street – Schmidt’s Sausage Truck and Taco Mania. Grab some food and sit down inside to warm up and enjoy your meal. Busy with the parade all morning? All proceeds from the Market Bar will go to support the market.\n\nTabouli Cafe and Son in Law Pizza Company Food Trucks will join us to serve brunch\, and Gabriel Heetland will provide live fiddle music.\n\nSpecial guests – the Lancaster Fire Department – will be on hand to safely toast marshmallows over a campfire for s’mores.
